Sree Rama Navami Celebrating in the month of Chaitra after the ninth day of the growing moon (after 9th date of ugadi) in March-April. Sree Rama was bon on this day and years later on that same day Sree Rama married Sita.

On the auspicious day occasion of Sree Rama's birth, devotees fast throughout the day till sunset and chanting Sree Rama name and go to temple for hearing sree rama history from 'Ramayana'. In Badhrachalam temple perform kalyanotsav for Sita and Rama. On behalf of Andhra Pradesh Government, Chief Minister with his wife visits the Kalyana Mahotsav and offers Silk Clothes and Pearls as Talambralu (auspicious) to the God and Goddess. The whole of this celebration is telecast live in Doordarshan and other TV channels. Another highlight of the day is the prasadam distributing like Panakam and kosambari.
